How to Avoid Job Scams

  • Mar 17
  • 1 min read
  1. Do an on-line search to confirm this job is real by checking the company's website

  2. Don't pay for the promise of a job. This is a red flag if you have to send money to anyone for a job

  3. Boss imposter scams where they ask you to cash in gift cards or a check and pay them back. This is another red flag if you have to cash in a check or gift cards and share the money with your new boss.

  4. Fake recruiters - they ask for personal or financial information before you have an interview. Another red flag to steal your identity.
